
Dr. Hammoud is a graduate of the Damascus University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and his Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology from the University of Chicago.
Dr. Hammoud is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Hammoud has completed research in a retrospective analysis of clinical and electrophysiologic features, and prognosis in respiratory onset amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He was the recipient of the Leon Weisberg Award for outstanding research manuscript in June 2009.
